When you left, the earth opened up and I fell fast into the center
I can still recall the resounding sound of the surface cracking open
I still remember our dreams
They have been written into the dna of my life.
My muscles still ache from the laughter
There is a gorgeous freedom in these memories
In no longer having to wonder if love crosses every boundary
In knowing that just as you reside here with me in this moment
I can also feel the piece of me that has traveled to you.
We were always good at delusions of grandeur
